Former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Julio Urías has pleaded no contest to a charge of misdemeanor domestic battery stemming from his September arrest on allegations of felony domestic violence.

A spokesperson for the L.A. City Attorney's Office told ESPN's Alden Gonzalez that Urías has been sentenced to 36 months of summary probation, ordered to complete a 52-week domestic violence counseling course and 30 days of community labor.

As part of the plea deal, the four additional misdemeanor charges against Urías were dismissed.

According to the arrest report, Urías was arrested outside of BMO Stadium after an MLS game between Inter Miami and LAFC in Los Angeles when someone reported seeing a physical altercation between a man and woman.

Department of Public Safety officers spoke to individuals involved and determined a physical altercation occurred. Urías was released from custody after posting $50,000 bail.

Urías was formally charged with five misdemeanors in April, including one count of spousal battery, one count of false imprisonment, one count of assault and two counts of domestic battery involving dating relationship.

One of the charges of domestic battery involving dating relationship was dropped in the plea deal, as well the charges of spousal battery, false imprisonment and assault.

Urías was placed on administrative leave by MLB on Sept. 6. The 27-year-old is currently a free agent after his contract with the Dodgers expired at the end of last season. He is subject to suspension from the league under the domestic violence policy.
